The States of Guernsey Development & Planning Authority have announced a 'Call for Sites' as part of their limited review of the Island Development Plan.

If you own land on Guernsey and you are willing to see it developed, either on its own, or as part of a wider area, you should let the D&PA know by the 20th October 2023.

The future shape of the island's built-up areas will depend on whether the D&PA can identify sufficient land within the Main Centres of St Peter Port and The Bridge, or in the Main Centre Outer Areas and Local Centres, to accommodate the number of new homes and commercial buildings they predict are required to sustain our community.

If you want to protect the open land and green spaces of our island, you should encourage anyone in the built-up areas to identify their land in the Call for Sites. If you own land in the built-up areas and would be happy for it to be developed, talk to your neighbours and encourage them to consider making a submission too, as larger areas make for improved viability for development.

The D&PA are asking for sites over a certain area to be submitted, but if you and your neighbours are willing to amalgamate a number of smaller plots you can do this.

Corbeau can provide advice, guidance and can even make your submission on your behalf. You can contact Olly on 07911 713444 or at admin@corbeau.gg to find out more.
